MONTESSORI SCHOOL VALIDATION PROGRAM

The UMSI Montessori School Validation program was recognized for the first time in legislation in 2020. This program provides assurance to non-Montessori bodies (such as FSSA) that a school meets the minimum requirements to be considered a Montessori program (as established by the Montessori Essentials published by the Montessori Public Policy Initiative). This enables schools to take advantage of waivers and exceptions designed for high-fidelity Montessori programs during the licensure process. Validation is also a great professional development experience for schools and faculty and is a useful tool for communicating quality to families and prospective families.

With integrity, United Montessori Schools of Indiana fosters a community that supports, unifies, and advocates for the advancement of Montessori education.
