Community Montessori
New Albany, Indiana
Community Montessori was founded in 1998 in New Albany, Indiana, as a unique and independent educational option in our local community. Our devoted staff has worked diligently to design an educational journey that focuses on the whole child. We serve families and children from birth through high school.
We take our belief about learning and apply it to all stages of development. We believe in knowing and understanding the individual first and then using that knowledge to support their journey, charting a personalized course of learning. As a public charter school authorized by Ball State, our K-12 program is tuition free. Although our infant through 4 year old programs are tuition based, we work with all families to support tuition payments.
Following the Montessori core belief system, we provide an environment that respects all people and ideas. With our holistic approach to education, learners receive an enriched learning environment where they are supported in their emotional and physical wellness as they strive to become self-regulated, internally motivated, life-long learners.
In 2011, we reached full capacity of over 600 learners and we graduated our first vibrant young adults. With a waitlist of more than 100 children and teens from our annual lottery for admission, we continually strive to be an exceptional educational option for our community.
